PATTAYA, Thailand – On October 1st, 2025, at 6:30 PM, Pattaya City Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet, accompanied by city officials including Deputy Mayors Mr. Manoch Nongyai and Mr. Kritsana Boonsawad, as well as City Council President Mr. Banlue Kullavanij and council members, conducted an on-site inspection of the newly installed lighting system at the covered walkway of Bali Hai Pier. The visit, joined by government department heads and project contractors, assessed the readiness of the lighting setup designed to transform the pier into a new city landmark.

Mayor Poramese revealed that following the completion of the pier’s roof construction, the city enhanced the structure with a dynamic lighting system synchronized with the iconic “Pattaya City” sign on Phra Tamnak Hill. The system features eight customizable lighting patterns and operates automatically from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with 31 light strips illuminating the area to create a lively nighttime ambiance.

“This is more than just a pier for trips to Koh Larn. We want to make it a must-visit landmark where tourists can capture memorable photos of Pattaya,” the mayor stated. He added that the project aligns with ongoing improvements around the pier, including the Pattaya City sign and the entrance to Walking Street on both sides, fostering an atmosphere designed to attract visitors during the high season. The city has also been busy removing old pilons from an older decades old pier project that did not move forward.

The initiative is expected to boost Pattaya’s appeal, drawing tourists day and night to experience and share the city’s charm.
