PATTAYA, Thailand – On September 30th, 2025, Pattaya City School 1 hosted a retirement ceremony at the Anjaliwiwat Meeting Room to honor two retiring teachers. The event, themed “60 Years: A Long Journey to a Proud Finish,” celebrated the remarkable contributions of educators who dedicated decades to shaping young minds.
Mr. Anupong Phutthanawarat, a Pattaya City Council member and Chairman of the Basic Education Committee, presided over the ceremony. Distinguished guests included Mr. Worapot Phongphali, Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization member, Pol. Sub-Lt. Suriya Klahan from Banglamung Police Station, members of the Basic Education Committee, school faculty, alumni, and students. School Director Mr. Patthanapong Trachu warmly welcomed attendees.
This year’s ceremony paid tribute to two retiring teachers: Mrs. Kanjana Soiphet, a mathematics teacher with 37 years of service, and Mrs. Buntham Kaewnak, a vocational education teacher with 21 years of service, both holding the rank of Expert Teacher.
The event began with a blessing ceremony led by nine Buddhist monks, followed by a traditional water-pouring ritual where faculty, alumni, and students expressed gratitude and respect for the retirees. Symbolic gifts and bouquets were presented to honor their dedication.
The ceremony concluded with blessings from the presiding chairman and school director, who presented keepsakes to inspire the retirees as they embark on their new chapter. The event was marked by a warm, simple atmosphere filled with smiles and deep appreciation for the teachers’ lifelong commitment.
