Drunk Woman Rescued After Swimming into Sea Off Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA, Thailand – At approximately 3:30 AM on October 2nd, 2025, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit in Pattaya received a report of a person floating in the sea, roughly 500 meters from the shore, opposite Soi 13 along Pattaya Beach. Rescue volunteers and a marine operations team were dispatched to the scene accompanied by The Pattaya News team.

Upon arrival, authorities found Ms. Kalya, 38, clinging to a buoy in the middle of the sea. The rescue team quickly deployed a boat and successfully brought her safely back to shore.

Witnesses reported that Ms. Kalya appeared heavily intoxicated before the incident. She left her bag on the beach and walked into the sea, ignoring attempts by bystanders to stop her. Concerned onlookers alerted authorities, prompting the swift response.

Police coordinated with Ms. Kalya’s friends to ensure she was taken into their care to prevent any further incidents. The rescue operation concluded without injury, and authorities are monitoring the situation to ensure her safety.
