Sri Racha, Thailand – A pickup truck crashed into a series of power poles, causing 12 of them to collapse and block the Bueng-Bo Win Road earlier this week as we previously reported here. The accident led to a widespread power outage and halted traffic in the area.
According to the latest updates, authorities from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and communication company workers have completed the installation of six 12-meter low-voltage power poles, restoring electricity to local residents. The Bueng-Bo Win Road has also been reopened for normal traffic.
However, the replacement of the larger 22-meter high-voltage poles, which supply power to industrial estates and factories, is still underway and expected to take several days. Temporary power rerouting from other sources has ensured continued electricity supply to nearby industrial areas. The high-voltage lines in the affected zone were disconnected for safety during repairs.
The driver responsible for the crash has been released on bail and is awaiting further investigation by the Bo Win Police Station. Authorities are still assessing the total damages caused by the incident. Residents and businesses affected by the disruption have been advised to file reports at the Bo Win Police Station for official documentation.
