PATTAYA, Thailand (September 25, 2025) – Deputy Mayor Krisana Boonsawad officiated the opening of the awards ceremony for the “Pattaya: City of Dreams, City of Creative Filmmaking” short film competition. The event, held at SF Cinema at Central Marina Pattaya, also featured a special panel discussion offering insights into the film industry.
Joining Deputy Mayor Krisana was Ms. Watcharee Churaksa, Assistant Director of the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), alongside a distinguished judging panel comprised of renowned filmmakers Prachya Pinkaew, Thanis Jitnukul, Bandit Thongdee, and Thanapat Srisunthorn. The discussion provided valuable perspectives on filmmaking, engaging attendees with creative and industry insights.
The event was also attended by Pattaya City Council President Banlue Kullavanij, city council members, the council president’s secretarial team, the mayor’s working committee, heads of Pattaya City government departments, DASTA officials, distinguished guests from various organizations, competition participants, audience members, and the media.
The ceremony celebrated Pattaya’s growing role as a hub for creative filmmaking, showcasing the talent and vision of participants in the short film contest.
