Mrs. Jidapa Suwatthaporn, a member of the Pattaya City Council, presided over the Education Committee meeting at Meeting Room 251, Pattaya City Hall. The meeting was attended by committee members, relevant officials, and Mr. Krisana Boonsawad, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya.
The meeting focused on implementing Pattaya’s Education Development Plan and reviewing progress on various upcoming events. Key discussions included:
– **Education Master Plan**: The Education Office provided updates on the master plan, addressing long-term structural and educational development to elevate the quality and standards of education in Pattaya.
– **Loy Krathong Festival Preparations**: Plans for this year’s culturally significant Loy Krathong Festival were reviewed, with events scheduled at Lan Pho and Koh Larn, currently in planning stages.
– **New Year Celebrations**: Preparations for New Year festivities, including traditional and merit-making and almsgiving activities, were discussed to promote prosperity and community well-being.
– **Public Relations Support**: A proposal was made to involve PR officers in school activities to document and disseminate information to the public.
– **School Hygiene and Nutrition**: Progress on outsourcing restroom cleaning services in schools and improving hygiene standards was reviewed. The school lunch program was also evaluated to ensure students receive high-quality, sufficient meals.
Mrs. Jidapa spoke about the importance of closely monitoring these initiatives to advance Pattaya’s education system and ensure continuous progress. “Teamwork is key to ensuring all projects succeed and deliver maximum benefits to the community,” she stated, showing the role of education and cultural activities in Pattaya’s growth.
