Sriracha Hospital Commemorates Mahidol Day with Wreath-Laying Ceremony

On September 24th, 2025, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Aiyikachao Building of Somdej Phra Boromarajadevi Hospital in Sriracha to mark Mahidol Day 2025.

The event was led by Associate Professor Dr. Sophon Napathorn, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society and Director of the hospital, joined by hospital administrators, medical staff, nurses, and students from the Clinical Medical Education Center of Burapha University’s Faculty of Medicine.

The annual ceremony, held on September 24th commemorates the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father and Prince of Songkla, revered as the Father of Modern Thai Medicine. The event honors his lifelong dedication to advancing public health and medical services in Thailand, reflecting gratitude for his immense contributions and raising awareness of his legacy.

Following the wreath-laying, the ceremony continued with the opening of an exhibition showcasing the biography and contributions of His Royal Highness, highlighting his tireless efforts for the benefit of the Thai people.
