PATTAYA, Thailand – On September 22nd, 2025, at 9:00 AM, a volunteer training program aimed at enhancing tourist safety and convenience was held at the Shambala Hotel meeting room in Pattaya. The meeting was jointly organized by the Chonburi Provincial Police and the Pattaya Tourist Police.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Pol. Col. Patikorn Sornchai, Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police. Attendees included key figures such as Pol. Col. Piyarach Supharat, Deputy Commander of Tourist Police Division 1; Pol. Col. Songwut Chuepholakit, Superintendent of Subdivision 2, Tourist Police Division 1; and other senior officers from the Chonburi Provincial Police and Tourist Police units, including Pol. Maj. Torlap Tinamat, Pol. Maj. Supharat Meepreecha, and Pol. Capt. Apichart Jarurak, all from Subdivision 4, Tourist Police Division 1.

Over 100 volunteers participated in the training, which featured lectures by expert speakers. Pol. Maj. Torlap Tinamat delivered a session on “The Role and Responsibilities of Volunteers in Assisting Tourists,” while Mr. Rapeepong Rerkyarnyong, President of the Pattaya Tourist Police Volunteers, spoke on “Being a Good Host and Using English to Assist Tourists.”

Equipping volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge is expected to enhance tourist safety measures, boost confidence in Thailand’s safety reputation among international visitors, and support Pattaya’s development.
