2. A 58-year-old British tourist, Mr. Duncan, was seriously injured after being attacked by a group of four transgender individuals in a Pattaya condominium.

Mr. Duncan, the incident began when he hired two escorts online for companionship, expecting female companions.

3. A 25-year-old man identified as Yuttana was arrested in Phuket for allegedly acting as a drug courier, with more than 48,000 methamphetamine pills found concealed inside a package of avocados.

4. A high-stakes drug raid in Phuket ended in tragedy when a narcotics officer was fatally shot and a suspect killed during a violent standoff inside a local apartment complex.

A later search of the apartment uncovered two firearms and approximately 500 methamphetamine pills. 

5. Phuket is charting a new course in public transportation with the launch of its ambitious “Boat Taxi” project, aimed at reducing road congestion and enhancing travel options for both locals and tourists.
