PATTAYA, Thailand – On September 11th, 2025, at 9:36 PM, a joint operation led by Banglamung District Chief Mr. Patcharapat Sritanyanon saw administrative and police officials inspect entertainment venues in Pattaya to curb illegal activities, including drug trafficking, illegal weapons, and underage employment or patronage. The team, comprising of Mr. Nathaphop Yomjinda and Mr. Peerapong Sampru, both Assistant District Chiefs, and Pol. Lt. Col. Suchart Dusadee, Deputy Superintendent of Pattaya City Police, targeted four popular nightlife spots frequented by foreign tourists.

The inspections involved checking employee identification, criminal records, and conducting urine tests for drug use, aligning with the Ministry of Interior’s “No Drugs No Dealers” policy to create drug-free communities. Over 200 employees across the four venues were tested, with no positive drug results reported. Authorities noted that individuals previously in rehabilitation showed no signs of relapse, marking a success in the government’s stringent anti-drug measures.

Mr. Patcharapat commended the results and urged venue staff to remain vigilant, encouraging them to report any drug-related activities to the Banglamung administrative office, with assurances of informant confidentiality. He also stated the importance of ensuring tourist safety as Pattaya prepares for the upcoming high season, reinforcing the city’s commitment to a secure and welcoming environment for visitors.
