PATTAYA, Thailand – At 9:00 AM on September 8th, 2025, the Pattaya City Radio Center received a report from concerned citizens about a large snake spotted on a sidewalk near the Pattaya Provincial Court on Thappraya Road. Authorities from the Pattaya City Disaster Prevention Department were dispatched to the scene to investigate and capture the reptile.
Upon arrival, officers found a crowd of motorbike taxi drivers and tourists gathered at a safe distance, watching and recording videos of the incident. The snake, identified as a male reticulated python measuring over 3 meters in length and weighing more than 30 kilograms, was attempting to escape through a fence. Its head had slipped through a gap, but its bulky body, likely swollen from a recent meal, was too large to follow.

The python, described as aggressive, attempted to strike at the officers as they used a noose to secure its head. Due to its size and weight, capturing and placing it into a sack proved challenging. Amid cheers and excitement from Thai and foreign tourists, the team successfully subdued the snake after a 30-minute struggle. The python was then safely transported and released back into the wild.
