On September 9th, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Mr. Jamnean Keetipakoon, Mayor of the Khao Mai Kaew Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO), assigned Mr. Bancha Udon, Deputy Mayor, along with Mr. Surin Wanyoo, SAO Council Member for Village 5, Mr. Detakit Keetipakoon, Subdistrict Headman, Mr. Phattharaphon Phiwanoi, Village Headman of Village 5, and assistant village headmen, to assess and address the flooding situation at the Ban Phu Sai Bridge area.
The flooding was triggered by heavy rainfall the previous night, which caused flash floods to inundate the bridge road area—a vital connection between Banglamung District in Chonburi Province and Pluak Daeng District in Rayong Province. This bridge serves as a critical route for workers commuting to the Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate and for trucks transporting goods.
Mr. Jamnean stated that urgent measures are underway to restore normal traffic flow. The SAO has coordinated with the Rayong Provincial Rural Highway Department to deploy machinery for road repairs and surface improvements around the bridge, aiming to swiftly return the route to full functionality.
