PATTAYA, Thailand – A 47-year-old woman, referred to only as Ms. B (name withheld), narrowly escaped a terrifying ordeal after being attacked, robbed, and nearly sexually assaulted in an abandoned building in Pattaya on August 30th, 2025. The incident, which occurred at approximately 11:16 p.m. in Soi Phratamnak 6, has left the victim traumatized and urging police to swiftly apprehend the suspect to prevent further crimes.

Ms. B, a shop worker at a nearby establishment, explained the incident to The Pattaya News reporters. On the night of the attack, she was riding her motorcycle through the darkened alley—where streetlights were out—after leaving work early to check on her foreign husband. An unidentified Thai man, described as being in his 30s or 40s, of medium build, wearing a T-shirt and long pants, called out to her, claiming a foreigner had collapsed and needed help. Believing it could be her husband, Ms. B followed him.

Upon stopping her motorcycle, the man brandished a knife, pressing it against her waist and forcing her into an abandoned building. He threatened to rape and kill her if she resisted or made a sound. As Ms. B’s phone rang, the assailant, enraged and suspecting she was contacting the police, beat her, slammed her head against a wall, and continued his threats. In a desperate bid to survive, Ms. B pleaded for her life, promising compliance to appease the attacker.

The assailant then used his knife to cut off her clothing, including her underwear, in an attempt to carry out the assault. He also stole her mobile phone and 300 baht in cash. Seizing a moment of opportunity, Ms. B kicked the attacker and fled on her motorcycle, driven by fear for her life. She reported the incident to the Pattaya City Police the following morning, having sustained multiple bruises, a laceration in her mouth requiring five stitches, and a hematoma in her head.

Ms. B led reporters to the site of the attack, an abandoned structure known as Ruamchok Building 6, located at 419 Soi Phra Tamnak 6. The building appeared deserted but showed signs of possible habitation, with locked doors, parked motorcycles, and evidence suggesting it is frequented by individuals collecting scrap and recyclables. Despite attempts to contact any occupants, no one responded.

The victim expressed deep concern that the suspect, who remains at large, may strike again, targeting other women or tourists in the area. She urged the police to expedite their investigation and apprehend the suspect to ensure justice and public safety.

Pattaya City Police are investigating the case and have been called upon to track down the assailant before he can commit further crimes. The incident has raised alarm in the community, highlighting safety concerns in poorly lit and abandoned areas of the city.
