PATTAYA, Thailand – On a recent stormy evening, heavy rainfall battered parts of Pattaya City, flooding roads and creating hazardous conditions for commuters. Despite the downpour, many residents continued their journeys to and from work, navigating treacherous streets.
During a routine patrol, Police Lieutenant Colonel Suchart Dusadee, a senior officer from Pattaya City Police Station, and his driver braved the rain to ensure public safety. While passing the Chaiyaphruek traffic light intersection on Sukhumvit Road, heading toward Bangkok, they spotted a motorcyclist who had lost control on the slippery road, causing the bike to skid and crash.

Without hesitation, Lt. Col. Suchart ordered his driver to stop the patrol vehicle and activate its emergency lights to prevent further accidents. Disregarding his uniform and the pouring rain, he rushed to assist the fallen motorist, ensuring their safety. Fortunately, the motorist sustained no injuries.
The grateful motorist expressed heartfelt thanks to Lt. Col. Suchart and his driver, both soaked from the rain, for their swift action. “If they hadn’t stopped and set up the warning lights, a following vehicle might not have seen me in the heavy rain, potentially causing a worse accident,” the motorist said. “I’m truly thankful for officers like them who serve the public with such dedication.”

Lt. Col. Suchart’s heroism comes as no surprise. He was recently honored as an outstanding officer in crime prevention and suppression at the inspector level for the second consecutive year. On August 28th, 2025, he received a certificate of commendation for his exemplary service, solidifying his reputation as a dedicated public servant.
