Pattaya, Thailand – On September 1st, 2025, at 8:36 PM, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit in Pattaya received a report of a violent assault at a rental room in Thung Sra Kaew Village. Rescue volunteers rushed to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, authorities found the front door of the rental room severely damaged. Inside, signs of a struggle were evident, with bloodstains scattered across the floor. The victim, 24-year-old Sarawut Itipi, sustained injuries, including a laceration above his left eyebrow and a stab wound to his right arm. Rescue workers provided first aid before urgently transporting him to a nearby hospital.
According to 32-year-old Ms. Phattharawan (last name withheld), who was visibly shaken, the attacker was her ex-boyfriend, identified only as “Tae.” The couple had broken up over six months ago, but Tae refused to move on and had been harassing her. Ms. Phattharawan had relocated to avoid him, but Tae tracked her down. Upon discovering her with a male colleague who was helping organize the room, Tae flew into a jealous rage. He broke down the door, grabbed a metal object, and attacked everyone inside. Some managed to escape and hide in the bathroom, but Mr. Sarawut was unable to flee and was struck and stabbed, resulting in his injuries.
Police are investigating the incident and searching for the suspect, who fled the scene. Further details are pending as the investigation continues.
