PATTAYA, Thailand – In line with the organizational development vision of Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyoo, Chief of Pattaya City Police Station, to enhance workplace cleanliness and align with the National Police Agency’s standards, a new initiative has been launched to upgrade public facilities for residents and tourists.
Ms. Natthanlin Chiewchanthanakit, Managing Director of Herbland Products Co., Ltd., recently met with Pol. Col. Anek to pledge support for renovating the restrooms at Pattaya City Police Station. The project aims to meet public health standards, ensuring better hygiene for both locals and tourists who frequent the station. Ms. Natthanlin, a frequent visitor to Pattaya, identified the need for improved facilities based on her own experiences.

Pol. Col. Anek revealed that the police station is undergoing a broader renovation, funded by central government budgets, with steady progress expected to be completed in the coming years. He expressed gratitude to Herbland for recognizing the importance of clean, eco-friendly restrooms that promote public health. “Pattaya City Police Station serves a large number of people daily, especially during festivals and tourism events along the beachfront. We deeply appreciate the private sector’s support,” he said.

Drawing from his previous experience as Chief of Ban Bueng Police Station, where he also oversaw restroom upgrades to enhance public convenience, Pol. Col. Anek stated that improving infrastructure is a key policy to ensure readiness in serving the community.
Under Herbland’s “Smell Good” campaign, the company will fully renovate restrooms on the first floor (men’s, women’s, and accessible facilities) and the second floor (detainee restrooms). The upgrades include improvements to entrances, flooring, walls, and high-standard sanitary fixtures compliant with Thai Industrial Standards (TIS). The project also incorporates germ-resistant materials, air purifiers, exhaust systems, and 100% natural air fresheners with disinfectant properties. Additionally, Herbland will provide mobile restrooms during the renovation period and cover electricity costs for one year. The total budget for the initiative is 500,000 baht.

This project is designed to accommodate the influx of visitors during Pattaya’s high tourism season, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all.
