PATTAYA, Thailand – A high-speed motorcycle crash involving a group of Middle Eastern tourists occurred in the early hours of August 30th, 2025, on Sukhumvit Road, opposite Makro Pattaya. The accident, reported at 3:06 AM, left two people seriously injured and caused major damage to two motorcycles.
The Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Rescue Unit responded quickly to the accident, where they found a white Yamaha Spark overturned on the roadside. Nearby, approximately 100 meters away, a black Honda CBR 650R big bike was severely damaged. Both riders, identified as Middle Eastern tourists, sustained serious injuries, with one suffering a large head wound and lying in a pool of blood, struggling to breathe. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before rushing the two critically injured victims to a hospital. Two other unidentified people sustained minor injuries.
At the scene, a group of about ten friends of the victims, also on motorcycles, gathered in shock, observing their injured companions. A witness, Mr. Jakpong Wongin, 37, told The Pattaya News team that the group of Middle Eastern tourists were racing their motorcycles, riding recklessly with their heads down without helmets shortly after leaving a traffic light. As he reached for his phone to record a video, the big bike collided with the rear of the Yamaha Spark, causing both to skid in opposite directions and resulting in multiple injuries. He immediately alerted the rescue team.
CCTV footage clearly captured the incident, showing the Yamaha Spark traveling in the right lane when the high-speed Honda CBR 650R crashed into its rear, causing both bikes to lose control and slide across the road. Pattaya City Police have collected the footage and other evidence to investigate the cause of the accident and prepare a detailed report.
Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such incidents in the future. The exact nationality of the victims and names were not released by Pattaya police.
