Pattaya, Chonburi – On the evening of August 25th, 2025, Banglamung District Chief Patcharapat Sritanayon ordered a sting operation led by Kamphrai Laosaen, Senior District Security Officer and Narcotics Suppression official, alongside Territorial Defense Volunteers. The operation targeted drug trafficking in Pattaya following tips from previously arrested drug users about illegal drug sales among local youth.
In the first case, authorities received reports of drug use at an address on Moo 10 in Banglamung. A raid uncovered six youths using drugs, who confessed to purchasing from Rattanachai, alias “Oat Pattaya.” Evidence of drug transactions was found on their phones, prompting a search of Rattanachai’s residence above a bar in Soi Buakhao. While no drugs were found on him, a later search at his house on Moo 9 uncovered 67 methamphetamine pills (yaba) in plastic bags and drug paraphernalia.
In the second case, authorities acted on information implicating Naphat Sawatdech, 23, in drug sales. An undercover agent arranged to buy 5 grams of crystal meth (ice) at an apartment in the Soi Department of Land in Pattaya. When Naphat arrived to deliver, he attempted to flee but was apprehended. A search revealed 5 grams of crystal meth, 1,500 baht in marked buy money, 194 yaba pills, 15.24 grams of crystal meth in multiple zip-lock bags, a digital scale, and drug packaging materials.
Both suspects and seized evidence were handed over to Pattaya City Police Station for legal proceedings.
