PATTAYA, Thailand (August 19th, 2025) — At the Thapphraya Meeting Room in Pattaya City Hall, Mayor Poramese Ngampichet presided over the launch of a food safety training program aimed at elevating market standards. The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn and Pramote Suea-dang, Director of the Environmental Health Promotion Division under Pattaya’s Public Health and Environment Office, who provided insights to participants.
Deputy Secretary Theerasak Jatupong stated that the training seeks to equip market owners, managers, and food vendors with essential knowledge on food safety, monitoring high-risk foods, environmental management in markets, and preventing consumer complaints. The initiative aims to improve market standards, enhance credibility, and strengthen consumer protection measures.

The program saw participation from 80 individuals, including market owners, managers, and food vendor representatives from Pattaya. The training focused on improving sanitation standards, addressing contamination risks, and implementing consumer protection guidelines to ensure confidence among residents and tourists purchasing food in Pattaya’s markets.
