PATTAYA, Thailand – On August 18th, 2025, at 5:06 AM, a 25-year-old bar waitress, Ms. Sumitra Saengarun, reported the theft of her black GPX motorcycle, license plate 3 กผ 7009 Chonburi, outside Red Cat Bar on Pattaya Beach Road,. The incident occurred less than 50 meters from the Pattaya City Police Station.
Ms. Sumitra told The Pattaya News that after the bar closed, staff held a birthday celebration for a colleague. During the event, she admitted to being slightly intoxicated and forgot to remove the key from her motorcycle. After briefly returning to the bar to collect food to take home, she was shocked to find her motorcycle missing. CCTV footage revealed a heavyset woman dressed in black, allegedly identified as a former employee fired for theft, hurriedly riding away on the stolen vehicle.
Ms. Sumitra reported the incident to Pol. Lt. Col. Phupha Hongyakul, Deputy Investigation Officer at Pattaya City Police Station. Authorities recorded the complaint and coordinated with the investigation team to track down the suspect for legal action. Ms. Sumitra provided the CCTV evidence to assist in identifying and apprehending the culprit.
