In response to ongoing tensions along the Thai-Cambodia border, where clashes over territorial disputes have placed significant demands on Thai soldiers, a heartfelt initiative has been launched to support the troops defending national sovereignty.
Led by General Wichai Thephasadin Na Ayutthaya, former Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, along with Mr. Tan Passakornnatee and Herbland Products Co., Ltd., a relief effort was organized to provide essential supplies to soldiers stationed at the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Command. The project was further supported by Ms. Kochaporn Werot, leader of the Progressive Freedom Party (formerly the United Land Party), with Mr. Natthaphon Thongkham and Ms. Natthanlin Chiaochanthakit overseeing operations. The Pattaya Journalists Association, under the leadership of President Amphon Saengkaew, also played a key role by deploying a team to cover the uplifting event and boost morale among the troops.
The relief effort delivered critical supplies, including 500 kilograms of jasmine rice, over 1,000 bottles of drinking water, daily necessities, and essential electronic equipment for communication and power needs. Additionally, volunteer practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine provided basic medical supplies and joined the mission to offer encouragement to the soldiers.
Representing the recipients, Captain Thanonksak Channam, Head of Civil Affairs at the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Defense Command, expressed gratitude for the generosity shown. “We deeply appreciate the kindness of everyone involved today. It doesn’t need to be grand or abundant—just these small gestures mean the world to us,” he said.
The program shows a collective effort to honor the sacrifices of Thailand’s frontline soldiers, bringing together communities and organizations to provide both practical support and moral encouragement during challenging times.
