Sri Racha Municipality Announces Second Health Promotion Festival for the Elderly in 2025

Sriracha, Thailand – On August 14th, 2025, Sriracha Municipality, in collaboration with its network partners, held a press conference at the activity area on the first floor of Central Sriracha Shopping Mall to announce the 2025 Health Promotion and Elderly Life Development Project, marking the second edition of the Sriracha Health Festival.

Led by Mayor Chatchai Timkrachang, alongside municipal executives, council members, government officials, and representatives from public and private sectors, the event highlighted Thailand’s ongoing transition into an aging society. Since 2005, when the elderly population reached 10.3% of the total population, Thailand has been classified as an aging society. Projections indicate it became a fully aged society in 2021 and is expected to reach super-aged status by 2031, with a rapidly growing elderly demographic.

Recognizing the need to prepare for this demographic shift, Sriracha Municipality expressed the importance of enhancing the potential of the elderly, their caregivers, and the general public through comprehensive health literacy initiatives. The project focuses on improving public health services, promoting preventive healthcare, and reducing health risks. It also integrates technology and innovation to ensure swift assistance and reduce disease severity. Additionally, traditional Thai medicine and alternative therapies are being offered as holistic healthcare options for interested citizens.

The Sriracha Health Festival, scheduled for August 28th, 2025, at the fourth-floor hall of Central Sriracha, aims to provide health screenings, basic health assessments, and educational resources to empower attendees to manage their health effectively. The event will feature participation from 20 organizations, including government agencies and private entities, each showcasing unique and engaging healthcare approaches.

Attendees will gain valuable health insights to apply in their daily lives, helping to prevent illness, promote recovery, and foster self-reliance. The initiative aligns with Sriracha’s vision to become a city of well-being, ensuring a sustainable and healthy future for its residents.
