PATTAYA, Thailand – On August 10th, 2025, the Masjid Sheikh Muhammad Ali Mosque in Pattaya held its annual charity tea drinking ceremony as part of the 2025 Mosque Community Bonding Event. The event, led by Imam Suman Sulaiman and organized by Haji Ali (Rachai) Pathan, welcomed a large gathering of Muslim community members and distinguished guests.
This year’s event was marked by a lively atmosphere, with a large turnout of Thai Muslim brothers and sisters from the local area. The ceremony aimed to raise funds for the mosque’s educational programs and activities. Highlights included the sale of halal food, activities for Muslim students, the charity tea drinking ritual, recitations from the Holy Quran, supplicatory prayers (dua), and a seminar on the theme, “Prayer: The Power of Life, Leading to Personal and Community Development.”
The event was graced by notable attendees, including Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet, Meechai Inthapithak, Chairman of the Pattaya Mayor’s Working Committee, as well as representatives from the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, Pattaya City Council, and Nongprue Municipal Council. The gathering fostered a warm and friendly environment.
Haji Ali (Rachai) Pathan, the event’s chairman, discussed the significance of the occasion, noting that it reflects the strong unity and collaboration among Pattaya’s Thai Muslim community. “This event has been held consistently for many years and has become a cornerstone activity, well-received by all sectors,” he said. “We are committed to continuing this tradition in the years to come, fostering connections and strengthening bonds within the Muslim community.”
The annual event continues to serve as a vital platform for promoting unity and supporting the mosque’s mission in Pattaya.
