On August 3rd, 2025, at 10:00 PM, Pattaya Special Affairs officers detained a 28-year-old Swedish male tourist (name withheld) for operating a drone to capture aerial footage of Pattaya Beach without authorization.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has enforced a strict ban on all unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) across the country from July 30 to August 15, 2025, or until further notice, to ensure security and safety in sensitive areas.
2. Chonburi Immigration Office, and the South Korean Embassy dismantled a sophisticated Korean-Chinese call center scam network operating in Chonburi’s Huai Yai and Na Jomtien areas.Â
The operation was initiated following a distress call from Mr. Hyunsub An, a 31-year-old South Korean national, who reported to police being assaulted and feared for his safety.
3. Pattaya City Police Station received a report of a foreign national carrying a firearm inside a convenience store located at the entrance of Soi Thepprasit 8.
Police apprehended Mr. Zhang and recovered a modified Glock 19 blank gun, adapted to fire .380 mm ammunition, which he had carried into the store.
4. Police arrested  arrested 29-year-old Indian national Mr. Kohli at a hotel in Nongprue.
Police are urging business owners who suspect similar incidents or recognize Kohli to come forward with evidence.
5. An unidentified foreign woman was found washed ashore near a school in Kamala.
According to lifeguards, she had left some personal clothing items on the beach before entering the water.
6. Authorities have arrested a foreign national for allegedly working without a permit at a motorcycle rental shop in Kathu District, as part of an ongoing effort to enforce labor laws and maintain order in popular tourist zones.

During the inspection, officers encountered a foreign man identified only as Mr. Dinar (nationality and age were not identified by officers), who was actively washing motorcycles intended for rental to tourists.Â

8. Phuket authorities have launched a sweeping anti-drug operation targeting religious institutions, uncovering a troubling case of drug use among monks at a prominent temple in Cherng Talay .
In addition, three Thai laborers found within the temple grounds also tested positive and were taken in for further questioning.
9. A foreign tourist was seriously injured this week after a street-side dispute over an unpaid fruit bill escalated into violence.
The alleged attacker, a 25-year-old fruit vendor known as Mr. Pan, was found calmly waiting at the scene and immediately surrendered to police.
10. A shocking incident unfolded late Thursday night, August 7th, 2025, outside a major shopping mall at Ratchaprasong intersection in central Bangkok, leaving two Malaysian tourists hospitalized with burn injuries.
