PATTAYA, Thailand – At 12:36 AM on August 6th, 2025, Banglamung District Chief Mr. Patcharapat Sritanyanon ordered a joint operation involving administrative officials and Pattaya City Police to inspect entertainment venues in Pattaya. The operation, led by Mr. Nathaphop Yomjinda and Mr. Tharit Jancharoon, aimed to curb illegal activities, including drug use, possession of weapons, and the employment or entry of minors in nightlife establishments.
Authorities conducted random inspections in the Soi Buakhao and LK Metro area of South Pattaya, checking liquor and entertainment licenses, as well as the identification of patrons, looking for people on overstay of their visa. Urine tests were performed to detect drug use, with no positive results for narcotics or other illegal substances found.
The operation aligns with the current Ministry of Interior’s “No Drugs, No Dealers” policy, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Interior Minister Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai. The initiative comprises key measures to combat drug issues and foster drug-free communities, while boosting confidence among tourists in Pattaya’s commitment to a safe and lawful environment.
