PATTAYA, Thailand – Colonel Anek Sarathongyoo, Chief of Pattaya City Police Station, has announced implementation of the Royal Thai Police’s five-point “Clean Station” policy, aimed at enhancing cleanliness and orderliness to boost public confidence and create a positive impression for both locals and international tourists.

As a key gateway for visitors from around the world, Pattaya City Police Station is committed to elevating its standards to meet international benchmarks. Colonel Anek outlined a clear vision to modernize the station’s facilities and ensure a welcoming environment through the following five measures:

1. **Fostering a Culture of Cleanliness**: Officers are encouraged to maintain discipline starting with their own workspaces. A “Big Cleaning Day” will be held at least once a month to reinforce this commitment.

2. **Clear Division of Responsibilities**: Specific areas, such as investigation rooms, detention cells, and meeting rooms, will have designated teams responsible for daily cleanliness checks, with appointed “area supervisors” overseeing compliance.

3. **Enhancing User-Friendly Landscapes**: The station will improve service areas with clear signage, green spaces, and well-maintained surroundings, including parking lots and flagpole areas.

4. **Raising Restroom Standards**: Restrooms will be cleaned at least twice daily, with clear signage indicating responsible personnel. Separate facilities for the public and officers will be organized for better order.

5. **Continuous Evaluation**: The administrative division will conduct monthly assessments, while public feedback will be collected via forms and QR codes to gauge satisfaction.
Colonel Anek explained that public participation is vital to the initiative’s success. QR codes have been placed at service points, and promotional materials encourage community involvement in maintaining cleanliness. The station is also engaging the public through its official Facebook page, “Pattaya City Police Station.”

This initiative reflects Pattaya’s commitment to creating a professional and welcoming environment, aligning with the Royal Thai Police’s vision to enhance the image of Thai law enforcement.
