Sriracha, Thailand – On July 15th, 2025, Thai Oil Group launched an environmental campaign, spotlighting “Nong Top,” a white rhino from Khao Kheow Open Zoo, as its brand ambassador to promote conservation efforts. The “Young Power for the Environment” event brought together Sriracha media and Thai Oil’s intern students to plant “Phayung” trees, a key food source for white rhinos, to expand green spaces.

The event also included a donation of medical supplies for white rhinos, aiming to raise awareness and foster a conservation mindset among youth and the public.

Thai Oil has partnered with Khao Kheow Open Zoo since 2022, driving long-term collaborative projects. These include enhancing the white rhino exhibit’s landscaping, installing educational signs, providing equipment to support rhino welfare, and organizing youth activities like National Children’s Day booths, English camps for local youth, and volunteer programs for interns.

As part of the zoo’s “Wild Animal Sponsorship” program, Thai Oil supports the conservation of white rhinos, a critically endangered species. In 2023, Khao Kheow Open Zoo celebrated the birth of Thailand’s second white rhino calf, and Thai Oil was honored to name it “Nong Top,” reflecting the company’s acronym (TOP).

Marking Nong Top’s second birthday, Thai Oil’s Refinery Public Relations team organized the event to celebrate the occasion. Activities included learning about the zoo’s mission, exploring Thai Oil’s connection to white rhinos, planting trees to support rhino diets, and presenting a fruit cake to Nong Top. The company also donated funds for white rhino medical supplies under the sponsorship program.
