A chaotic brawl broke out on Walking Street, a famous tourist area bustling with both Thai and foreign visitors. A viral video circulating online showed a group of four foreign teenagers, believed to be Russian according to tourist police who spoke to them, aged around 18-19, violently fighting with a well-known Thai rapper and B-boy group amidst the cheers and onlookers of numerous tourists in the area.
Reporters visiting the scene on the evening of June 10th found that the incident occurred around 00:44 AM on June 9, 2025. A local vendor who witnessed the event stated that prior to the brawl, the group of Russian teenagers had entered a pharmacy, behaving loudly and disruptively until the owner asked them to leave. They then moved to sit in front of a cannabis shop, despite warnings from the shop that sitting there was not allowed unless they purchased something, which they refused to do so. The group ignored the warnings and continued to sit, leading to an argument, which security personnel temporarily diffused.
However, after the situation seemed to have calmed down, the Russian teenagers returned to the same spot and clashed with a Thai rapper/B-boy group nearby, provoking them with aggressive gestures. This reignited the conflict, escalating into another violent brawl.
As of now, there are no reports of either party filing a complaint with the Pattaya City Police Station and neither group was injured. The incident did however cause alarm and concern among tourists in the area, as it was a violent event in the heart of a popular tourist destination.
