PATTAYA, Thailand (June 9, 2025) – Pattaya City Mayor Poramese Ngampichet warmly welcomed Pol. Lt. Col. Torlap Tinamat, Chief of the Pattaya Tourist Police, during a meeting to discuss the innovative use of drones along with mobile tourist police units. This aims to enhance crime prevention and suppression in Pattaya through advanced AI technology.
The drones will be integrated with a central database to facilitate real-time identification of offenders and individuals with outstanding warrants or on overstay, particularly during events and activities hosted in the city. This cutting-edge approach is designed to maximize public safety and streamline law enforcement operations while aligning with Pattaya’s unique context as a premier tourism destination.
Mayor Poramese expressed optimism about the program, happy about its potential to improve Pattaya’s image as a safe and welcoming destination for visitors and residents alike.
