Motorcycle Collides with Van at Pattaya Railway Crossing, Leaving Four People Injured

PATTAYA, Thailand – A severe collision between a motorcycle and a van at a railway crossing in Pattaya left four people injured, one critically, on the evening of June 9, 2025. The incident occurred at 8:00 PM near the railway tracks behind Wat Tham Samakkee Alley.

Emergency services from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center responded promptly after receiving reports of the crash. At the scene, rescuers found four injured individuals lying by the roadside. Three victims sustained mostly minor abrasions and were given first aid before being transported to Pattaya Hospital. The fourth victim, identified as 65-year-old Ms. Wanna Waiwong, suffered a severe injury to her right leg, which was nearly severed. She received urgent first aid and was rushed to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

The crash involved a grey Honda PCX motorcycle, which was heavily damaged at the front, and a white Hyundai van, which showed impact marks on the driver’s side door. The van’s driver, 45-year-old Ms. Jinpo Wang, a Chinese national, stated that she was following another vehicle across the railway tracks when the motorcycle, traveling at high speed, collided with her van.
Authorities have cordoned off the area and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage while gathering witness statements to determine the cause of the accident. Legal proceedings will follow based on the investigation’s findings.
