PATTAYA, Thailand – On June 10th, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM, a violent fight broke out among a group of drinkers at the entrance of Soi Nong Samo 14. Rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon Pattaya responded swiftly to reports of a heated dispute.

At the scene, authorities found three middle-aged men engaged in a fierce argument. One man, identified as Suradet Chaichanaklang, 41, a disabled former soldier who relies on a wheelchair, was bleeding profusely from a head wound. His girlfriend, also disabled, sat nearby in distress, watching over him.

Police detained the alleged assailant, Noi Thapwan, 63, who appeared heavily intoxicated. Noi admitted to the attack, claiming Suradet had provoked him. “He was being annoying,” Noi said nonchalantly. “I cooked for him, but he kept acting up. He pretends he can’t walk, but I told him he can walk like anyone else. When he came at me, I grabbed a bottle and smashed his head.”

Suradet, however, told a different story. He claimed Noi insulted him before suddenly striking him with a liquor bottle. “I didn’t even get a chance to say anything,” Suradet said. “I just saw the bottle coming down on my head.”

Rescue workers provided first aid at the scene before transporting Suradet to a nearby hospital. Initially, Suradet refused to leave, concerned for his girlfriend’s safety, but authorities eventually persuaded him to go.

A 40-proof bottle of white liquor was found at the scene, and investigators believe all involved were heavily intoxicated, as their statements were incoherent and contradictory. Police are continuing their investigation and plan to press charges against Noi for assault.
