PATTAYA, Thailand – A 28-year-old woman from Rayong was arrested early Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025, after crashing her car into a construction site in Pattaya, Chonburi province, while heavily intoxicated.
At around 3:30 a.m., Police Lieutenant Colonel Somsak Khamsunthorn, an investigator from Pattaya City Police Station, responded to a report of a car accident at a construction zone in the Runway Market on Pattaya Second Road.
At the scene, officers found a white Toyota Altis, registered in Bangkok which had veered off the road and collided with construction materials, including PVC pipes, concrete pillars, tiles, and wooden scaffolding. The front of the vehicle was severely damaged, and debris was scattered across the site.
The driver, identified as Ms. Supaporn (last name withheld), was visibly intoxicated. She told police she had traveled from Rayong to Pattaya and had been drinking at an entertainment venue on Walking Street before the incident. While driving back, she lost control of her car, leading to the crash.
Police conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 139 milligrams percent, well above the legal limit. Ms. Supaporn was taken into custody and faces charges as authorities proceed with legal action.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Somsak stated that the investigation is ongoing, and the suspect will be prosecuted according to the law.
