Takhian Tia-
On June 5, 2025, at the meeting room of the Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality Office, the Public Health and Environment Division of Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality organized a training program for food vendors operating stalls at night markets for the fiscal year 2025. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Wachira Sujoe, Deputy Mayor of Takian Tia Subdistrict Municipality.
Mr. Narongrit Prasitnak, Municipal Clerk, stated that current consumer behavior has shifted from preparing food at home to consuming ready-made food purchased from food stalls outside. This change increases the risk of consuming unclean food, which can lead to illnesses caused by pathogens or contaminants in food. Additionally, under the Ministry of Public Health regulations, food business operators and food handlers are required to complete a training course on food business operations to obtain a food stall operating license.
The Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality, through its Public Health and Environment Division, recognizes the importance of this issue and has initiated this project. The objectives are to ensure that food business operators and handlers gain knowledge and understanding of food hygiene, to elevate food stalls in the area to meet the standards set by the Ministry of Public Health, and to ensure that consumers have access to clean, hygienic, and safe food.
The training was attended by 50 food business operators from the Takian Tia Subdistrict Municipality area.
