Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in Pattaya, Disrupting Traffic

PATTAYA, Thailand – June 4th, 2025: Heavy rainfall lasting over an hour struck Pattaya late last night, leading to widespread flooding across several areas of the city, according to local reports. The downpour caused disruptions, with roads becoming impassable for both small and large vehicles.

Particularly hard-hit was Pattaya Third Road, a low-lying area prone to flooding during heavy rain. Numerous cars were reported damaged after being submerged in floodwaters. Similarly, the railway road leading to Soi Khao Talo saw vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, stranded and damaged due to the rising water levels.
The continuous rain, which persisted for over an hour, left multiple parts of Pattaya and nearby areas inundated, making it impossible for smaller vehicles to navigate flooded routes. Local authorities quickly intervened, issuing warnings to drivers to avoid flooded areas and prevent further damage to vehicles and property.
Once the rain subsided, officials worked swiftly to drain the floodwaters, restoring normal traffic conditions within a short period.
