Pattaya, Thailand — A 27-year-old man was injured in a dramatic car accident in the early hours of May 28th, 2025, when his vehicle crashed into a light pole and flipped over on Highway 36 near the Chonburi-Rayong Bypass in Nong Pla Lai.

The incident occurred at 3:06 AM and was reported to Pol. Lt. Col. Sarasuphan Adtanasri-anant, Deputy Inspector of Banglamung Police Station. Emergency response teams from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation in Pattaya rushed to the scene.
At the site, authorities found a black Honda City, overturned with its wheels pointing skyward and heavily damaged. The driver, identified as Mr. Wuttinan Khantasen, 27, sustained a nasal injury. Rescue workers provided first aid before transferring him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital. The crash also damaged a nearby streetlight pole, which was knocked over.
Mr. Wuttinan told police he was driving home from Rayong to his residence in Takhian Tia. He told The Pattaya News that, nearing a U-turn, he momentarily lost consciousness and only regained awareness after colliding with the light pole, causing his car to flip.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine further details and potential causes.
