Pattaya, Thailand – Baidi International (Pattaya) Real Estate Asset Management Co., Ltd., based in Soi Department of Lands, Moo 10, held a press conference to address recent allegations allegedly linking the company to illegal Chinese operations. Led by company director Mr. Kham Sae Yang, alongside company lawyer Mr. Theerathorn Morakotjinda and legal consultant Ms. Kanokorn Sawatram, the firm clarified its operations and refuted claims of being a nominee for foreign entities.
The press conference followed a government inspection earlier this week, prompted by rumors associating Baidi International with “grey Chinese” capital. Mr. Kham explained that the allegations stemmed from a misunderstanding about the financial transactions of certain buyers, some of whom used Chinese nationals with Thai bank accounts to transfer property payments. He stated that the company has no authority to investigate the origins of these transfers, as they comply with legitimate banking protocols.
“We categorically deny any foreign control. All shareholders and directors are 100% Thai,” Mr. Kham stated, addressing concerns about foreign influence. The company disclosed that of its 86 employees, 76 (90%) are Thai nationals, while 13 (10%) are foreigners legally permitted to work in Thailand. Regarding three Chinese employees found without work permits during the inspection, the company clarified they had resigned prior to the visit and were only present to handle personal WeChat account matters.
Baidi International firmly denied any connection to illegal Chinese capital or nominee arrangements, asserting full compliance with Thai law. The company highlighted the reputational damage caused by these allegations, which have hurt customer confidence. To protect its image, Baidi International announced plans to pursue legal action against social media pages and media outlets spreading false information.
Mr. Kham further detailed the company’s operations, which include condominium and housing estate cleaning services, as well as acting as a licensed real estate brokerage. Property transactions are processed through the company’s bank account, with commissions, taxes, and transfer fees deducted as per agreements. Baidi International also provides comprehensive after-sales services, such as maintenance and cleaning, which have earned it a growing customer base, including Thai and international clients from various countries.
The company reiterated its commitment to transparency and cooperation with authorities, offering to provide additional documentation for scrutiny. “Baidi International is a genuine Thai company, and we will continue to develop our business transparently,” Mr. Kham affirmed, revealing plans for future branch expansion.
The firm’s strong stance aims to restore public trust and dispel misinformation, as it prepares to take legal steps to safeguard its reputation.
