Pattaya, Thailand – A small fire broke out in a condominium room in Jomtien, causing panic among tourists in the early hours of May 28th, 2025. The incident occurred at 1:06 AM at a condo located in Soi Chaiyaphruek 1.
The Pattaya City Disaster Relief Center received a report of the fire and immediately dispatched a team of firefighters and volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities found some tourists and residents frantically evacuating the building in chaos.
The blaze originated in Room 2709 on the 27th floor, specifically in the kitchen area, where electrical appliances were located. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames using chemical fire suppressants, leaving only minor smoke in the aftermath. An initial inspection revealed minimal damage to the property, and no injuries were reported.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. Fortunately, the swift response of other residents in noticing the fire and alerting authorities prevented a more serious incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate to ensure the safety of the building and its residents.
