PATTAYA, Thailand – On May 9th, 2025, at 8:06 PM, authorities in Banglamung district conducted a surprise raid on a pool party at a mansion in the Pong sub-district, following numerous complaints from local residents about alleged excessive noise. The operation was personally led by Banglaamung District Chief Patcharapat Sritanyanon, who responded to reports of a hotel operator illegally hosting a loud event.
A combined force of over 50 officials, including administrative officers, Nongprue Police Station officers, tourist police, immigration police, and Pong subdistrict municipal staff, stormed the venue. The team, coordinated by Deputy District Chief Nathaphop Yomjinda, Police Sub-Lieutenant Colonel Jamlomg Jinpala, and municipal officer Kittisak Montkaew, also deployed undercover agents in advance to confirm the gathering.

The raid revealed over 200 foreign tourists, mostly Indian nationals, reveling in a pool party. The group was swimming, drinking alcohol, and enjoying loud music, causing disturbance to nearby residents. The sudden arrival of authorities sparked chaos among the partygoers, but officials quickly regained control.
Officers conducted identity checks on a group of young women hired to entertain and serve the tourists, alongside drug tests for all attendees. No minors or individuals with traces of narcotics were found. Authorities also reviewed the hotel operator’s permits and the documentation of tour guides who facilitated the event, ensuring compliance with regulations.

The raid was prompted by ongoing complaints from locals, who reported sleepless nights due to what they called incessant noise from frequent parties at the venue. District Chief Patcharapat made it clear that the authorities acted to address the issue and warned that noise levels must adhere to legal standards. Violators, he added, would face strict legal consequences.

The operator of the pool party reportedly agreed to adjust volume levels and ensure they did not disturb the local community further. Police promised to continue to follow up on the situation in the future and to gain feedback from the concerned citizens who had complained.
