PATTAYA, Thailand – On May 3, 2025, the G Floor Fountain Plaza at Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya transformed into a wonderland of imagination as it hosted the inaugural “Cosplay Contest Henshin 2025.” The event drew enthusiastic cosplayers from across the region to showcase their transformative talents in a spirited competition.
For the first time, the shopping center became a stage for Thailand’s growing cosplay community, with contestants embodying characters from anime, video games, and various entertainment media. The event, themed “Henshin” – meaning “transformation” in Japanese – captured the heart of cosplay culture, encouraging participants to channel their passion and artistry into breathtaking performances.
The contest aimed to provide a dynamic platform for youth and cosplay enthusiasts to express themselves creatively. Mr. Nitikorn Nilsak, Marketing Director of Royal Garden Plaza, kicked off the event with a warm welcome, highlighting the initiative’s mission to promote positive self-expression and inspire the next generation. “We want to create a space where young people can shine and inspire one another through their creativity,” he said.
The response was overwhelming, with the Fountain Plaza packed with contestants and fans marveling at the intricate costumes and captivating performances.
Organizers expressed their commitment to making “Henshin” an annual event, with plans to elevate the platform and foster the growth of the country’s cosplay community. “This is just the beginning,” said a spokesperson. “We’re excited to see how this event can help Thailand’s cosplay culture thrive.”
