Foreigner Drives Against Traffic in Pattaya, Shouts Profanities at Thais, Angering Locals

Pattaya, Thailand – On May 4th, 2025, a video clip posted by the popular Thai language Facebook page “Safe Travel 168” exposed an incident involving a foreign man driving against traffic in a one-way street, Soi 13/2. The man was filmed with a second foreign passenger sitting in the actual window of the vehicle in the rear, blatantly violating traffic rules by driving the wrong way down the designated one-way street.

According to the video, several Thai locals, including motorbike riders, attempted to inform the foreigner that he was driving against the one-way traffic. However, instead of complying, the man and his foreign passenger reacted angrily, shouting profanities such as “f*** you” at the concerned citizens who approached him.

A local vendor who witnessed the incident reported that the foreigner appeared furious when confronted and seemed on the verge of escalating the situation. Fortunately, he eventually backed his vehicle out of the soi, preventing further chaos. The episode left residents and road users in the area shaken and outraged.

No one was able to contact the police in time, as the incident unfolded quickly, and the foreigner drove away from the scene.
After the video went viral, netizens flooded the post with comments expressing anger over the foreigner’s behavior. Many called for authorities to investigate the incident.
