Pattaya Faces Heavy Rain and Flooding

Pattaya-

Heavy rain fell in Pattaya for over three hours on May 3, 2025, causing widespread flooding in multiple areas and damaging residents’ vehicles. The downpour led to impassable roads for both small and large vehicles. Notably, Pattaya Third Road, a low-lying area prone to flooding during rain, saw several cars submerged and damaged as seen here on video. Similarly, on the railway road to Talo, both cars and motorcycles were inundated and damaged.

Reporters noted that the continuous rain for over three hours caused big flooding in Pattaya and nearby areas, with high water levels preventing small vehicles from passing through affected routes.

Authorities issued warnings to prevent drivers from navigating flooded areas, aiming to protect residents’ vehicles and property. Once the rain stopped, floodwater drained into the sewer system within one to two hours, allowing roads to return to normal traffic conditions.
