Pattaya-
Pattaya City is ready to provide a cutting-edge service with the introduction of luxury mobile toilets equipped with air conditioning, catering to both residents and tourists free of charge. This initiative aims to meet the needs of a world-class tourist destination in every aspect. The first mobile toilet unit has been launched at Walking Street, near the South Pattaya Pumping Station.
Mr. Poramet Ngampiches, Mayor of Pattaya, along with Mr. Manoch Nongyai, Deputy Mayor, Mr. Phumphiphat Kamolnath, Secretary to the Mayor, Pattaya City Council members, Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization members, and officials from the Pattaya City Natural Resources and Environment Office, inspected the readiness of the mobile toilet unit before its official operation. The unit is stationed in front of Walking Street, near the South Pattaya Pumping Station, to serve tourists.
Mayor Poramese Ngampichet explained that this initiative follows Pattaya City’s recent beachfront walkway and landscape improvement project, which has already been completed. During that project, the city planned to construct three public restrooms along the beach. However, legal restrictions, environmental concerns, and regulations from the Marine Department regarding coastal areas posed challenges. As a result, the city opted for modern, air-conditioned mobile toilets to serve residents and tourists at two beach locations: Central Pattaya Beach and South Pattaya Beach.
Initially, one modern mobile toilet unit, designed for both men and women, has been deployed in front of Walking Street near the South Pattaya Pumping Station on a temporary basis. The unit will operate daily from 8:00 AM to midnight, offering free access. Staff will be on hand to assist and ensure convenience. The compact mobile toilet vehicle includes two male restrooms and two female restrooms.
This mobile toilet service is part of Pattaya’s commitment to enhancing the tourist experience and addressing the needs of a premier tourism destination.
