At Centara Life Maris Resort in Na Jomtien, Mr. Poramese Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, presided over the opening of a public hearing to gather opinions from stakeholders, residents, and related communities regarding the establishment of a Special Economic Zone for Comprehensive Medical and Healthcare (Pattaya) –, also called the Lifesphere Specialized Medical and Healthcare Center.
The event was attended by Dr. Kalyanee Panthong, Director of Business Development at VC Treat Co., Ltd., Mr. Poompipat Kamolnath, Secretary to the Mayor of Pattaya, community leaders in the Pattaya area, and other stakeholders.
VC Treat Co., Ltd. is leading the development of the “Special Economic Zone” project for Comprehensive Medical and Healthcare (Pattaya) – Lifesphere Specialized Medical and Healthcare Center. This program focuses on creating a modern, comprehensive specialized medical facility located on Jomtien Sai 1 Road covering approximately 17.4 rai (about 6.96 acres). The project is part of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), an area experiencing rapid economic growth and investment.
Designed to stand out and elevate medical services on a national and regional level, the project aims to support the establishment of a comprehensive Medical Hub. It will integrate various specialized medical centers, including facial and structural surgery, dentistry, holistic healthcare, physical rehabilitation, and premium elderly care.

To ensure the project aligns with the goal of becoming a Special Economic Zone while fostering positive coexistence with the community, a public hearing was held in accordance with the regulations of the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee. These regulations mandate the collection of opinions and suggestions from stakeholders, residents, and related communities to inform decisions regarding the establishment, modification, or dissolution of special economic zones.The feedback gathered will be summarized and published on Pattaya City’s information network system for further review by the public.
