Thailand, April 23rd, 2025 — Thai PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra began her official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, taking place from April 23rd to 24th.
During the visit, she and Cambodian PM Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet witnessed the signing of seven bilateral agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
The seven agreements include:
- Memorandum of Agreement on Ownership, Use, Management, and Maintenance of the Thai-Cambodian Friendship Bridge (Nong Ian – Stung Bot).
- Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cross-Border Environmental Pollution Cooperation between Thailand’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment.
- Exchange of Letters to Amend the Agreement on the Establishment of the Cambodia–Thailand Skills Development Center.
- Agreement on Labour Employment between the Royal Government of Thailand and the Royal Government of Cambodia.
- MoU on Labour Cooperation and Employment Framework between Thailand and Cambodia.
- Record of Discussion for Technical Assistance in designing the improvement project of National Road No. 57 (Ban Phakkat – Ban Pram, Pailin Province to Road No. 5, Battambang Province, Cambodia).
- Agreement on the Construction of a New Cross-Border Bridge at Ban Phakkat Permanent Border Crossing, Pong Nam Ron District, Chanthaburi Province.
Following the signing ceremony, both Prime Ministers presided over the launch of the official logo commemorating the 75th anniversary of Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relations, and held a joint press conference.
PM Paetongtarn expressed her honor in visiting Cambodia during this historic milestone and emphasized the mutual commitment to strengthening ties based on trust, mutual respect, and shared benefits.
