Pattaya Honors Tradition with Kong Khao Festival at Lan Pho Park

Pattaya —

Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase Ngampichet led the opening of the annual Kong Khao Festival on April 20th at Lan Pho Naklua Park, drawing crowds of locals and tourists celebrating cultural heritage after Songkran.

On April 20th, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase presided over the opening ceremony of the “Pattaya Kong Khao Festival 2025.” The event was also attended by Pattaya and Naklua residents and a large number of tourists.

The “Naklua Kong Khao Festival,” also known as the “Pattaya Kong Khao Festival,” is one of the city’s long-standing cultural traditions. Held annually following the “Wan Lai Pattaya” water festival during Songkran, the event aims to preserve local culture and promote tourism.

Activities included rituals paying homage to sacred spirits, traditional folk performances, cultural attire, and the offering of various sweet and savory foods. These offerings are rooted in ancient beliefs as a way to honor spirits and bring good fortune to families and the community.

The festival also seeks to instill a sense of cultural appreciation among youth and the public.
