On April 18,th the fifth day of the Thailand National Sailing Championship 2025 saw 229 athletes competing across multiple classes in clear weather and moderate winds off Dongtan Bay in Sattahip, Chonburi.
Today’s weather conditions were clear, with moderate winds of 7–14 knots and waves reaching approximately one meter in height. The competition is being held from April 14th to 19th, with 211 sailboats and 229 athletes participating.
In the Optimist class, a total of eight races have been held so far. Sarawit Naksuk, representing the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, is currently in first place with 18 net points. In second place is Phailin Charoenphon, also from the same association, with 22 net points.
In the ILCA 4 class, three races were held today, making it nine races in total. Parin Suppying, from the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, leads with 21 net points.
In the ILCA 6 class, three races were also held today, bringing the total to nine. Noppatsorn Khunboonchan, representing the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, is currently in the lead with 15 net points.
For the ILCA 7 class, after three races today (nine in total), Worawong Ratcharattanarak from the Naval Academy Sailing Club is in first place with 16 net points. In second is Bowonnan Chanram from the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand with 19 points, followed by Htet Lin Zaw from Myanmar in third with 22 points.
In the 420 class, three races were held today, also totaling nine. Leading the standings are Pitiphum Charoenphon (helm) and Worakarn Suksriklom (crew) from the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand with 8 net points. In second place are Nor Asma Balqis binti Rosli (helm) and Hadif Muayyad bin Mohd Husni (crew) from Malaysia with 16 points. Third place goes to Eklavya Batham (helm) and Akshat Kumar Dohare (crew) from India with 30 points.
