PATTAYA, Thailand – On April 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., the Stone House restaurant on Walking Street in South Pattaya, hosted a celebration of the Thai New Year (Songkran 2025). Ms. Amporn Kaewsaeng, the executive director of The Stone House, Rolling Live, and Isaan Time restaurants, led over 300 employees in a traditional water-pouring ceremony for Buddha statues and a blessing ritual for company executives.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Pol. Col. Anak Sarathongyoo, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, Mr. Wutthithorn Saengurai, a member of the Pattaya City Council, and Ms. Lisa Hamilton, President of the Pattaya Nightlife Business Association. Restaurant managers, supervisors, and staff joined together in the festive occasion.
The ceremonies, deeply rooted in Thai culture, reflect respect and gratitude toward elders, parents, and benefactors. They also serve as an opportunity for participants to seek forgiveness for past transgressions—whether in action, speech, or thought—and to request blessings for prosperity and success in the coming year.
The event highlighted unity and reverence, ensuring that these cherished customs continue to thrive in Pattaya’s community.
