Banglamung, Chonburi – On April 17 the Banglamung Red Cross Branch, led by President Ms. Primrita Srithanayon, joined forces with district officials, employees, and staff at the Banglamung District Office’s community hall for a Songkran Festival celebration. The event, steeped in Thai tradition, saw participants donning colorful floral shirts as they honored Mr. Patcharapat Srithanayon, the Banglamung District Chief, with fresh flower garlands, symbolizing respect and gratitude.
In a display of cultural reverence, the group performed a water-pouring ritual to seek blessings from elders, reinforcing the Thai custom of paying homage to senior figures.
Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyoo, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, was among the attendees. Adding to the auspicious occasion, the District Chief poured water to seek blessings from 65-year-old Mrs. Suneerat Srijanmuang, affectionately known as “Mother Rat,” for prosperity and good fortune.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Patcharapat expressed deep appreciation for the dedication of all personnel throughout the year. He humbly sought forgiveness for any unintended offenses, acknowledging that leadership may sometimes lead to mixed sentiments. Urging continued unity, he called on everyone to work together with commitment and pride to elevate Banglamung’s reputation as a dependable pillar for the community.
Happy Songkran!
