Tourist Police Launch Safety Campaign at Bali Hai Pier Ahead of Songkran Wan Lai Day in Pattaya

Tourist police and local authorities gathered at Bali Hai Pier on April 15th to hand out waterproof pouches, promote safety, and showcase high-tech patrol systems as Songkran festivities ramp up in Pattaya.

On April 15th, The Pattaya News reporters reported from in front of the multi-purpose pavilion at Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya. Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Phuak-am, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, and several other officers and departments organized an event to promote safety for the public and tourists during the Songkran Festival.

Police officers conducted patrols to ensure the safety of tourists using ferry services to Koh Larn. They also handed out waterproof phone pouches to assist with water play during the festival.

In addition, they promoted and provided guidance on using the “TPB” (Thailand Tourist Police Bureau) application, which allows tourists to easily and quickly contact tourist police. The app offers interpreter services in eight languages, available 24 hours a day.
