PATTAYA– On April 16, 2025 a female street vendor in Pattaya attacked her ex-husband with a knife, leaving him with a severe injury to his ear. The incident took place at 2:36 AM in Soi Kor Pai, prompting a fast response from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center and Pattaya City Police, accompanied by the Pattaya News team.
At the scene, in front of a stall selling fried meatballs, a crowd of onlookers gathered as authorities found Mr. Adisak, 41, from Chonburi, bleeding profusely from a deep knife wound to his right ear. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital. The assailant, identified as Ms. Uraiwan, 48, the vendor and Adisak’s ex-wife, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
According to Ms. Uraiwan, she and Adisak had been divorced for over five years, but he frequently harassed her, particularly when intoxicated. She claimed that Adisak, who had been drinking heavily during Songkran celebrations, became jealous and aggressive when he saw her interacting with male customers. On this occasion, after she told him to leave and go sleep it off, he allegedly slapped her face. In a moment of rage, Ms. Uraiwan grabbed a knife and slashed him. Regaining her composure, she immediately called for rescue services to assist her injured ex-husband.
Police are investigating the incident and gathering witness statements to determine the full circumstances. Charges are pending as authorities assess whether Ms. Uraiwan’s actions were in self-defense.
